Saint Colum and the Crane
by Betz, Eva K.
Illustrated by Vukovich, Charles
Saint Colum and the Crane by Eva K. Betz, is a story of St. Colum, who was born in Ireland in the 500's AD, but spent most of his ministry in Scotland where he founded a church and a monastery. St. Colum had such a love for God's creation in nature, and the Holy Spirit's presence in it. There are many stories of St. Colum's interactions with animals, and St. Colum and the Crane is a great example of his unending care for animals, especially birds. This story will teach kids the importance of caring for God's creation.
